Blogging Really Does Work

Every time I speak with Stew he talks about blogging.  It’s something I have always wanted to do, though it was never made it to the action part of my to do list.  Recently, I responded to a post from a LinkedIn group.  I liked my post, so I submitted to to go on the Southeast Business Forum blog, not really thinking anything about it.

I need to explain a couple of things before delivering the punch line.  My company counts on support from many people.  The most important of these folks support me and many others.  While I haven’t discussed this with them, it makes sense to me that they spend more time and effort with those that they expect to produce, which is what I would do in their role.  I have several new business relationships in this area.

One of these individuals, who isn’t in the SE Business Forum, follows our blog and saw my post.  He was really impressed with the points I made and took time to email me.  What do you think that did for our relationship?  I’m here to tell you that it helped – he read my writing about traits that he values.

I’m sure your won’t be surprised to learn that blogging has just become a priority for me.

Good for you Pete! I’m a believer in blogging as well. It’s another great way to connect with your clients and prospects. Through blogging you communicate to others how you think, your values and service philosophy. And I suspect many people are better at it than they think.
