“I don’t have enough time.” “I don’t have enough money.” “I don’t know what to write about.” “I don’t have the experience to get it published.” “I’m not a good writer.” “The children take up too much of my time.” “I can’t get past the title.” “My industry is too regulated.” “I’m gonna write that book.”
Every one of those objections (and those not listed) can be solved. I know of a solution to each one of those objections. Well, the last one isn’t really an objection but how many of you have said this only to put it off (forever)? Kevin Wax gave me one solid piece of advice when I started my book, “Finish the book.”
The only objection that can’t be solved by anyone else but you, is the one in your head that says, “I can’t do it.” YES YOU CAN. You must do it if you want to increase your revenue.
You won’t increase your revenue through the sales of your book – I can guarantee you that (but I hope I’m wrong). What you will do with the book is increase your close rate on prospects. How does writing a book increase your percentage close rate? Very simple.
Your credibility takes a huge leap in the eyes of your prospective client. They may never read your book but it establishes you as an expert in your field AND they view you as an author, which puts you on a higher level.
I’m only allowed 450 words in this blog post. So I really can’t go into the multiple facets of writing and publishing a book. My journey started a little over two years ago when I made the decision to write my book. It’s been very interesting and a journey that I would be happy to share with you.
All you have to do is ask.
Good luck and good networking.
