Remember when the Wizard of Oz bestowed the honorary degree on the Scarecrow? How about the new heart for the Tin Man? Or the medal for the Cowardly Lion? All were solutions to their perceived individual weaknesses.
We’ve gone around and asked Business Forum members what are the things that hold them back from writing a blog post. Three objections are raised time after time:
- I Don’t Have Enough Time
It really doesn’t take very long to craft an effective 450-work (or less) message. Trust me, 450-words is not that long. Ever hear of a ghostwriter?
- I’m Not A Writer
Our goal is to help you become more visible or as Lindsay Evans says, “You need to stay relevant” in today’s world of NOISE. Ever hear of a ghostwriter?
- I Can’t Think of a Good Topic
There are gazillions of interesting topics to choose from. It doesn’t have to be about your business. I know of one person (if not dozens) that can help you come up with a good topic to write on that will be interesting to read.
We can help you with all three of these perceived weaknesses. Remember, the resources of the Business Forum are tremendous. Members have approached me wanting to help in this area.
All you need to do is call or email me and we can develop a strategy to get your first blog post written and published. Don’t you want greater visibility? That’s how people will remember you and that is crucial to building long-term relationships.
Who knows, in the end you may earn an honorary degree, a new heart, or a medal. The one thing I can guarantee is that you’ll earn greater visibility.
Good luck and good networking.
